Andronicca Masemola takes on the role of CEO Barloworld Equipment southern Africa
Quinton McGreer takes early retirement and Emmy Leeka becomes CEO Equipment Eurasia as Barloworld demonstrates clear succession planning at play.
Barloworld Limited (“Barloworld”) today announced the appointment of Andronicca Masemola as CEO of Barloworld Equipment southern Africa, with immediate effect. Masemola will take over from Emmy Leeka who will step into the role of CEO Equipment Eurasia, also effective immediately. The current CEO of the business, Quinton McGeer, will be taking an early retirement at the end of September and will use the next six months to hand over to Leeka to ensure a smooth transition.
McGeer has been with Barloworld for a period spanning over three decades, having served on various roles within the business. During his tenure he played a pivotal role in the motor retail business of Barloworld. He has also been instrumental in driving the strong performance of the Equipment Eurasia business, including leading on the divestment of the Iberian business and the integration of the Mongolia business into Barloworld.

Leeka will bring to Equipment Eurasia his experience of turning around the Equipment southern Africa business. He will leverage his experience in working across challenging markets with various currencies into this role. Having worked closely with Leeka as COO of Barloworld Equipment southern Africa, Masemola walks into the role with a deep understanding of the business.
