In 2023, 1303 kW roof-mounted solar PV were installed at the Isando campus and BRC. The total installed capacity for BWE since 2016 is 2816 kW with the projected annual baseline output of 3874 MWH per annum. BWE has committed in installing an additional 400 kW in the next FY and a further 1400 kW In the next 4 years. BWE is currently conducting feasibility studies regarding the potential for a 1 MW solar plant in one of the BWE regions.
