Barloworld Mbewu – 2024 Best Corporate award Winner

On 28 February 2024 Barloworld Mbewu, won The Best Corporate Award at the CSI Legacy Awards. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding achievements of South African and African companies in terms of social and economic success during the past fiscal year. The CSI Legacy awards serve as a platform to showcase excellence and discuss the fundamental principles behind impactful CSI projects across the continent. It is an opportunity to shine light on exemplary practises and to explore core ideas that drive meaningful change in communities.

Barloworld Mbewu’s goal is to provide seed funding, financial access, and incubation support to social enterprises over a period of three-years. Ultimately aiming to empower social entrepreneurs to expand their businesses and increase their social impact, through comprehensive training and mentorship programmes which are two important foundational elements that play a part in a business’s growth and scaling efforts.

Winning the Best Corporate Award is a testament to Barloworld Mbewu’s success in serving communities, fulfilling our mandate, and consistently delivering value to stakeholders. This recognition highlights our commitment to developing innovative and cost-effective interventions, communicating them effectively, collaborating with others and achieving measurable impact.
